About this guide
Mile High HVAC Guide is an independent homeowner resource for the Denver metro, run by Zach Barbre — a Brighton, Colorado resident and HVAC sales professional who spends his days inside other people's mechanical rooms.

How referrals work
When you request help through this site, we connect you with a licensed local contractor and may receive a referral fee from them. That's how the guide pays for itself — and it's disclosed on every page, not buried in fine print.
Three things that never change:
- You contract directly with the installer. The estimate, the work, and the warranty are between you and the licensed company — never with this guide.
- Referral fees never change what you pay. The installer's price to you is the installer's price, period.
- We don't install anything. This site performs no HVAC work, holds no contractor license, and makes no claim to.
Editorial standards
Price ranges come from 2026 Denver-metro installed quotes and get re-verified periodically — never national averages dressed up as local numbers. Advice reflects first-hand field experience, not manufacturer marketing. Every page carries its last-updated date, and pages that can't stand alone as genuinely useful don't ship.
